Lost Mines of Phandelver - Sunday

A simple cargo job, by sea. What could go wrong?

Gundren Rockseeker needs provisions and mining equipment moved from Neverwinter to Phandalin. With roads turning dangerous, the guild has chosen the Sword Coast sea route and a crew of eager, odd, not-entirely-seasoned recruits.

What the Crew Knows

Campaign Premise

The party works through a mercenary guild in Neverwinter. Gundren Rockseeker has hired the guild to deliver supplies to Phandalin, but raiders, monster sightings, and vanishing caravans have made the roads a poor bet.

Start
Neverwinter, at the guild docks.
Route
Sea travel down the Sword Coast, then inland to Phandalin.
Tone
Nautical escort, frontier danger, unlikely crew comedy.

Current Quest

Deliver Gundren's cargo intact to Barthen's Provisions. The job sounds simple, which is exactly the sort of phrase that makes Q count the exits.

Client
Gundren Rockseeker.
Pay
100 gp, with a bonus for safe delivery.
Risks
Raiders, monsters, cargo trouble, shipboard chaos.

Loose Threads

  • The ship's name, owner, and command structure are still being discovered.
  • Gundren's exact cargo list may matter more than anyone admits.
  • The road to Phandalin is dangerous enough that the sea seems safer.
  • Sherk's full spell list and gear details still need D&D Beyond confirmation.
  • Everyone reached level 2 after the first adventure beats.
